about

I don't know who – or what – they are, but judging by the piles they leave behind that I can only presume to have once been human like myself, I fear that I've been given a faint and unfortunate glimpse into what fate lies ahead once they've finally cornered me – worn and haggard – and written for me in blood and sinew an indescribably unnatural end.

Until that fateful moment occurs; however, I am the one crafting bleak, meagre, and practically hopeless existence. And who am I, you ask? Just a brief look around would tell you that it really doesn't matter any more. As I gaze reluctantly into the distance for the nth time, the nightmarish landscape still persists. The horizon is littered with the skeletal remains of vast, lumbering behemoths; their inky black cavities outlined with the jagged teeth of grime-smeared glass and dust that had once been adorned with windows. As my eyes drift down its gaunt and crumbling form, they soon give way to tortuously contorted stalks of re-bar growing forth from dilapidated mountains of concrete that are freckled here and there with the twisted effigies of steel. What was once our society and civilisation has been warped and convoluted under the forces of entropy into a hostile, crumbling Urban Wasteland where the remaining, scattered dregs of Earth's human populous have had thrust upon them an inescapable ultimatum:

Find the strength to live as hunters, or be prepared to die as prey.
